Helping Hearts Through The Arts

WE DID IT!! $6540 was raised!! THANK YOU DONORS for helping to exceed our $5000 goal for ALS!!

This campaign helped raise funds for the ALS-DCMDVA Chapter.  Launched: 10/4/2020  Landed: 5/23/2021.

"Hearts In Flight"​

Helping Hearts Dance  had an "open rehearsal" on April 18,  and performed the  "Fall en Angels" premiere of HHA's resident choreographer Adolfo Matto Traverso on Sunday, May 23, 2021 @ 12:30, outdoors at the beautiful Sweet Virginia Farm for a limited socially distanced audience.  This completed HHA's "Hearts in Flight"- ALS campaign and $6,540 was raised!  

Included in these performances were special guest artists Carla Perlo (Director Emerita of Dance Place)  who led a warm-up at the "open rehearsal"and Britta Joy Peterson, (American University dance educator, and current project grant recipient from the Kennedy Center).    Britta and her dancers performed at both events in addition to Helping Hearts Dance.  The jazz preservation musicians The Arcadians also played on May 23,2021.  

Artwork of award winning renown artists Rajendra KC and Bradley Stevens were displayed and made available for purchase.  The artwork sold supported our 501(c)3 non-profit, Helping Hearts Through the Arts.
